In short: your files stay on your device, and we do not track you.
Your files never leave your device
All image processing happens locally in your browser, using capabilities your browser already has, such as Canvas.
Files you open are never uploaded to a server. We cannot see them, read them or store them.
No tracking, no third-party scripts
Moteful loads no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts.
Everything a page needs, including styles, scripts and icons, is served from this site itself.
Cookies and local storage
We do not set any cookies.
Two preferences are saved in your browser's local storage: your theme and your language. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Advertising
The site shows no ads today.
If advertising is ever introduced, it will not cover content or interrupt your work, and this page will be updated first.
Payments and outside links
Tips are handled by PayPal. If a Pro subscription launches later, payments would be handled by a payment provider, currently planned to be Creem.
Those services have their own privacy policies, and they only see what you choose to give them there.
Moteful itself never receives or stores your payment details.
Your rights
Because your files never reach us, there is usually no data about you for us to hold or delete.
If you have emailed us, you can ask us to show or delete that correspondence at any time, and we will do so.
If you live in a region with data protection law, you also have the right to complain to your local authority. We would rather you came to us first.
Children
Moteful is a general-purpose tool site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and significant changes will be described here.
